Warriors reveal the schedule for the California Classic

This year marks the final year that professional basketball will not be played continuously throughout the summer in the Bay Area. We shall all be able to watch professional basketball all year long when the Golden State Valkyries play in their maiden WNBA season through the hottest months in San Francisco in the summer of 2025.

Summer League basketball is the only option available to us until then. But really, Summer League can be a lot of fun, right?

Summer League’s main attraction is Las Vegas, but before the action gets off, the California Classic serves us our first taste of Summer League basketball. The California Classic schedule, which will be held at the Chase Center, was released by the Warriors on Monday.

The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers play at 1:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 6. The Warriors and Miami Heat play at 3:30 p.m. PT. The Kings and Heat will play on Sunday, July 7, at 1:30 p.m. PT and the Warriors and Lakers at 3:30 p.m. PT. The Heat and Lakers will play at 4:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, July 10, while the Warriors and Kings will play at 7:00 p.m. PT. Tickets for these games are available on the Warriors website.

The Kings’ home arena, Golden 1 Center, will host the remaining California Classic games. The Chinese National Team, the Charlotte Hornets, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Kings will all play in those contests.

The Warriors are expected to participate in the Summer League festivities even after securing spots on the team by the end of the 2023–24 season. This is despite the fact that the team will not reveal their Summer League roster until July, after they have had a chance to sign some young players and draft new players.
