Safety Lathan Ransom hobbled off the field at the beginning of the fourth quarter of Ohio State’s game against Wisconsin due to a non-contact injury.

Ransom underwent a brief evaluation in the Ohio State medical tent before being carried to the locker room for more testing.

Ransom, a standout defensive back for Ohio State, finished the game with three tackles and one tackle for loss. The product of Tuscon, Arizona, had recorded 31 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one interception, and two pass breakups going into the Wisconsin game.

With Ransom absent, Ohio State will lean on Josh Proctor, Sonny Styles and Jordan Hancock at the position. The Buckeyes can also turn to Cameron Martinez, Malik Hartford and Kye Stokes as potential depth options.
