IT’S VERY TO US “St Louis” LOOK AT THIS AS EXAMPLE.
Justin Fields ruled out of Sunday night game vs. Chargers | Injury Update
Due to a dislocated right thumb, the Bears officially ruled quarterback Justin Fields out of Sunday night’s away game against the Chargers on Friday.
Fields suffered the injury after he landed awkwardly while being sacked during the third quarter of the Vikings game on October 15. Since then, he has been out.
Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent will start for the second straight game in Fields’ absence. The Division II product made his NFL debut last Sunday, going 21 of 29 passes for 162 yards with one touchdown, no interceptions, and a 97.2 passer rating in a 30-12 victory over the Raiders at Soldier Field.
Fields, meanwhile, is still recovering and moving forward.
As for where he is, coach Matt Eberflus said, “We’re happy.” “He’s working with the trainers still this week, and we’ll give a better update on Monday.”
Right lineman Nate Davis was also declared out of Sunday night’s game by the Bears on Friday because of an ankle injury he sustained against Minnesota.
Eberflus disclosed that left tackle Braxton Jones, who sustained a neck injury in the Buccaneers’ Week 2 loss in Tampa, will miss his fifth straight game. Jones is not yet ready to play, but he did return to practice on Monday, creating a window of 21 days for his return to the active roster.
Eberflus stated, “He’s going to be working through his window right now.” “Next week, we’ll discuss that in more detail. We’re not sure precisely where he stands with his movement and other issues, but he’s doing well with the trainer.”
Right tackle rookie Darnell Wright practiced in full on Friday, although he was not classified as injured. Due to shoulder and toe issues, the first-round selection was limited on Thursday after failing to practice on Wednesday.
It’s going nicely,” Eberflus reported. He performed admirably this week. He was actually working well this week. He’s regained his strength in that shoulder, and obviously there’s an issue where you have some pain there. We’ll see how it develops. We’re happy with his current situation.
Roschon Johnson, a rookie running back who has missed the last two games due to a concussion, was also not given an injury designation and is anticipated to play again. This week, the fourth-round selection practiced nonstop.
“His return is much appreciated,” Eberflus remarked. We think it’s an exciting item for special teams as well as running back. In that regard, he also plays a significant role.”
Security While teammate safety Jaquan Brisker (illness) was downgraded to out on Saturday after initially being labeled as doubtful, Eddie Jackson (foot) is questionable for Sunday night’s game.
Jackson missed last Sunday’s victory over the Raiders due to an injury, so he was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He resumed full practice on Friday.
“He’s drawing near,” Eberflus remarked. “He is headed in the [correct] path, but we still have some time [before the game]. looked much better than he did the previous week, and we are happy with where he is.”
Brisker was unwell on Monday or Tuesday and missed practice all week.
In other injury news, cornerback Terell Smith (illness) was ruled out and offensive lineman Dan Feeney (knee) was labeled as questionable for Sunday night’s game.
