The Seattle Seahawks have added linebacker Ezekiel Turner to their practice squad, bringing in a seasoned player known for his special teams excellence. Turner, who previously played at the University of Washington, has spent seven seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Arizona Cardinals, where he made a name for himself.

Turner’s career has been marked by impressive contributions on special teams. In his time with the Cardinals, he led the league with 13 solo special teams tackles and totaled 15 tackles, earning a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Over his career, he has accumulated 83 tackles in 81 games and has recorded two blocked punts, showcasing his defensive prowess.

To accommodate Turner’s addition, the Seahawks released rookie linebacker Devin Richardson, who had recently joined the practice squad. This move highlights the team’s commitment to strengthening their special teams unit with a player who has proven himself in that role.

Following his lengthy stint with Arizona, Turner briefly joined the San Francisco 49ers in March but was released during training camp. Most recently, he was on the practice squad of the Houston Texans before being let go last week. Now, he has the opportunity to make an impact with the Seahawks as they continue to shape their roster.

Turner’s experience and skill set are expected to enhance the Seahawks’ depth, particularly on special teams, and fans will be eager to see how he contributes as the season progresses.
