Neither Bam Adebayo nor Tyler Herro will play Wednesday night when the Miami Heat venture north for a date with the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Both starters have been ruled out, the team announced Tuesday.

For Adebayo, it’s a left hip contusion that’ll keep him sidelined against Toronto. It’ll be the second straight game he’s missed this season due to injury. He’ll likely give way to Orlando Robinson in the starting lineup for Miami.

Herro, meanwhile, continues to battle a right ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for the last 12 games.

Miami will also be without Haywood Highsmith who is sidelined with a lower back contusion. He’s suddenly become a reliable rotation player and starter for the Heat this season, averaging a career-best 6.5 points in 22.3 minutes played per game.

R.J. Hampton (right knee sprain) and Dru Smith (ACL sprain) are also out for the Heat.

For Toronto, Christian Koloko will be the only injured Raptors player as he continues to work through an ongoing respiratory illness that’s kept him sidelined since the summer. He was once again doing some light basketball-related activities during the team’s practice Tuesday.

Gradey Dick is expected to miss the Raptors game as he’ll be in the G League with the Raptors 905 on Wednesday.

For Toronto, it’ll be another homecoming for Kyle Lowry who has regained his spot as Miami’s starting point guard this season. Expect another warm welcome from the Raptors faithful when he’s announced in the starting lineup Wednesday night.
