RISKY:Three offseason moves the Buffalo Bills could regret in 2024

It’s been a busy offseason for Brandon Beane and the Bills. Let’s just hope a few of the moves don’t come back to bite them.

The proverbial “dead horse” has been repeatedly thrashed by the media and fans. The NFL Draft’s first day was intriguing as well. The Bills Mafia had high expectations for a new receiver, but the first two trades of the evening produced no picks.

Many are wondering if the Bills’ Super Bowl window has closed after all of these actions. Buffalo might come to regret some of the offseason decisions, though I don’t think so. And the 2024 season at One Bills Drive may be very lengthy if they have numerous regrets.

The intriguing thing about this, though, is that we have no idea what Diggs will be like in 2024. Throughout the second half of the season and the playoffs, his output drastically decreased. We’re not sure why that occurred.

Some may claim that in order to stop him, defenders were deploying double teams and bracket coverage. However, hasn’t that been the situation for the past few seasons, and despite that, he continued to produce, while the bulk of other pass-catchers didn’t?

Fans will look at Beane and question the choice if Diggs records another 100 receptions or more and 1,000 yards or more in Houston. This will be especially true if Josh Allen and the Bills’ passing game suffers. The debate this summer has been whether Allen’s spectacular rise was caused by Diggs’s arrival in Buffalo, despite the fact that three receivers—John Brown, Cole Beasley, and Diggs—having stellar years with Allen.
