Rich Paul lists the teams that are interested in Bronny James: the Mavericks, Timberwolves, and Raptors.

The most talked-about talent in the 2024 NBA Draft class is still Bronny James. Though most considered a late second-round choice at best, Bronny, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, has been a frequent topic of conversation.

According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, Paul has even gone so far as to name a few of those clubs, suggesting the Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, and Minnesota Timberwolves as potential teams to choose Bronny in the NBA Draft:

Other teams adore Bronny as well. For instance, Toronto, Dallas, and Minnesota. There will be another person if it’s not the Lakers. Bronny would be welcome in Minnesota, but I’m not sure who will be the owner there. For Bronny, [Mavs General Manager] Nico Harrison is like an uncle. Dallas would select him at 58 and provide him a guaranteed contract if the Lakers decide not to draft him at 55. Masai [Ujiri, president of the Raptors] adores him. At thirty-one, they may take him without ever seeing him. These teams don’t rely just on their workouts.

Paul has been putting in a lot of extra effort to clarify the public’s perception of James and his reality. Paul has always stated that he is handling Bronny just like any other client, that the Lakers will only consider a conventional NBA deal, and that he is not being pressured to sign with them.

It was surprising that the Mavericks went so far as to mention real teams; it seems like they are essentially promising Paul and Bronny that if he is still available at number fifty-eight, they will choose him.

The Lakers are still the front-runners to select Bronny, but one of the main stories on draft night will be where he ends up.
