Polarizing 76ers Guard Does Not Believe Jayson Tatum And Jaylen Brown Will Ever Win A Championship Together For The Celtics
Patrick Beverley has been around the block, and the controversial 76ers point guard believes Jayson Tatum and
Jaylen Brown will not win a title together.
The star duo is part of the Boston Celtics lineup that won the Division title last season and the conference title the
year before.
The Celtics are the joint most winningest NBA franchise of all time with 17 championships, tied with the LA Lakers.
Beverley critiqued both Jayson Tatum who has been in Boston for six years and Jaylen Brow, who has been with the
franchise since 2016.
“[They are] too much of the same player, they don’t complement each other,” the outspoken Beverley said during his
Pat Bev podcast.
Tatum is a 4-time NBA All-Star and Brown is a 2-time NBA All-Star.
The Celtics finished in second place last season with a 57-25 record behind the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern
Conference.
Patrick Beverly played College ball for the Arkansas Razorbacks before heading for a stint in Europe, where he
turned out in Greece, the Ukraine and Russia.
The Houston Rockets came calling in 2013 and it has been a l0ng and storied career for the NBA All-Defensive first
team (2017), turning out for the Clippers, Lakers, Timberwolves, Bulls and now the Philly team.
In the past 18 months he has been with three franchises with the Lakers, the Bulls and finally the 76ers, which he
recently joined.
