Recently dismissed coach praises Luka Doncic and appears to take shots at Cavaliers big man.

J.B. Bickerstaff, the former head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, spoke with Brian Scalabrine and Frank Isola on SiriusXM NBA Radio’s “The Starting Lineup” on Tuesday. They talked about Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic’s perseverance in the NBA Finals despite various injuries.

 

After the Cavaliers’ second-round playoff loss to the Boston Celtics on May 23, Bickerstaff, who was fired the next day, stated that people should give Doncic “credit for the job that he did” in spite of the difficult situation.

 

Despite having a chest contusion during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Doncic was able to play in every game.
