Player rankings for Mexico vs. Ecuador: Santiago Gimenez blanked as Mexico lost the Copa America match due to a lackluster performance

After a poor group stage tie against Ecuador, Mexico is eliminated from the Copa America.

This Mexican competition was terrible. Time to face facts, take a hard look at yourself, and acknowledge that this program has reached its lowest point.

It’s conceivable that Jaime Lozano will lose his job in a few days. It was a huge letdown, but he tried to bring in a new era for the national team by pushing out the El Tri veterans.

It is impossible not to believe that Chucky Lozano would have been a useful addition in this situation. Even a midfielder such as Hector Herrera.

In their third and final group stage encounter in the Copa American, Mexico drew 0-0 with Ecuador in a dull, uninspired, and uneventful performance.

Over the course of three games, El Tri only managed one goal, which came on matchday one against Jamaica thanks to a spectacular shot from fullback Gerardo Arteaga. They were unable to complete the task in spite of having a dynamic winger in Julian Quinones, a great striker in Santiago Gimenez, and numerous more excellent attackers.
This Copa America performance was embarrassing for a team that is co-hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2026. They were outmatched in almost every match, nothing went right, and they appeared out of place.

Mexico stumbled in must-win territory. They now leave Copa America with their heads hung low.

Mexico’s players are ranked by GOAL from State Farm Stadium.

No one thought he would be opening this tournament, but he took advantage of the chance and performed admirably. remained spotless in the face of a gifted Ecuadorian attack.

5/10 for Gerardo Arteaga:
