OH NO😫😫: Aston villa kay player will not be able to play ageist wolves due to serious injury

Boubacar Kamara and Moussa Diaby could play for Aston Villa this Sunday against Wolves, according to Unai Emery.

Kamara and Diaby, who were substituted late in Villa’s 6-1 thrashing of Brighton last weekend, were both injured and were unable to participate in the team’s 1-0 victory over Zrinjski Mostar on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League. Before the Premier League match at Molineux, both players will practice at Bodymoor Heath on Saturday and go through a final fitness test.

On Sunday at Wolves (2pm kickoff), Emery’s team will attempt to win their fourth straight league game. In their last four league meetings with Villa, Wolves has prevailed, and they have won five of their last six home contests with their West Midlands rivals.

They enter the contest fresh off a shocking 2-1 victory over the defending champions Manchester City. For the first time since April, they are attempting to win back-to-back league games this weekend.

With a victory, Villa has the chance to climb into the top four before the international break in October. Emery provided a team news update from Bodymoor Heath prior to the game.

Kamara and Moussa Diaby are both going to work.

Asked about Ramsey and Moreno, the Villa head coach said: “They are not going to be available, Jacob Ramsey or Alex Moreno. Jacob Ramsey, he needs time again to recover his injury, more or less again he has [the same] injury. He is not going to be available.

“Alex Moreno was progressing and working with the team. He was doing training sessions, but he needed to stop again because he wasn’t feeling good. Now, again he is feeling better. Hopefully, after the break he could be with the group training again
