Sky Sports reports that Barnsley has made an offer for Emmanuel Longelo, and Birmingham City has accepted.
Birmingham City, who were relegated from League One, are willing to let the left-back depart the team this summer. He did not travel to Austria for the team’s preseason training camp with the rest of the squad.
Longelo, 23, still has a few years remaining on his deal with the Midlands team, which is set to expire in June 2026. Though it appears that Oakwell will be his next stop if the Tykes can work out a deal over the phone, the majority of indicators point to his leaving through the exit door in this window.
Sky Sports reports that the Blues have approved his move to South Yorkshire after they received a bid for his services. He first relocated to St Andrews in 2022 as a temporary resident before deciding to make the move permanent.
