NEWS UPDATE: Aston Villa star players left out of European squad

Injured Aston Villa duo Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia left out of European squad

The Europa Conference League roster for Villa this season does not include Tyrone Mings or Emi Buendia.

After suffering catastrophic knee injuries last month, both players are anticipated to miss the most of the season.

The England defender Mings was taken off at Newcastle United on the first day of the season, while Argentine international Buendia was hurt during practice on the season’s eve.

Only 22 of the available 25 spaces were filled by Villa’s 25-man roster when they registered for the competition yesterday, and they also included several young players on “list B.”

Despite being qualified to fill one of the “locally-trained” positions, Kortney Hause has also been left off the list. While on loan at Watford in the Championship last year, he hardly made an appearance.

By February 2, 2024, Villa may add a maximum of three new players to their roster.
