LEEDS UNITED have released a statement after Jack Clarke collapsed in their 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough today.

In the second half of Leeds’ dramatic 1-1 tie with Middlesbrough at the Riverside, Clarke passed out.

The event resulted in the addition of 12 minutes of injury time, which also ended the game.

“The player is receptive and is visiting the hospital with the team’s director of performance and medicine.

On behalf of everyone at Leeds United, we would like to thank the medical staff from both clubs for their response to the incident.”

Fans have been wishing Clarke the best.

“Hope young Jack Clarke is okay…” one said.

Another said: “Horrible to see even worse to witness and be the person involved . Get well soon Jack Clarke. I hope you get the all clear ASAP xxxx”

A third supporter said, “I will say I hope Jack Clarke makes a rapid recovery. What occurred seemed horrible, but fingers crossed he’s okay.
