NEWS FLASH: It hurts so much for everyone in Cardiff City….

Erol Bulut, the head coach of the Bluebirds, spoke with the media prior to the team’s Championship matchup with Sunderland.

Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut says Aaron Ramsey will be fit enough for consideration for Sunday’s trip to Sunderland.

The Wales captain missed the 3-2 win over Coventry City in midweek, although the boss said in the aftermath he was just being rested. He will now be available for the game at the Stadium of Light, with Bulut confirming his only absentees will be Callum O’Dowda and Josh Bowler.

“He will be ready for Sunday,” he said of Ramsey. “I spoke with him, he feels good. Today he was on the field, he made some runs. Physically he is in very good shape and mentally he is in very good shape. We need him.”

Every word from Erol Bulut on Cardiff City injuries, Sunderland and Jamilu Collins - Wales OnlineOn the general fitness of the squad, Bulut added: “When we speak about the last game, I have no new injuries. So I am glad. But we have some previous ones, like O’Dowda, today he started running on the field. Josh Bowler still has an injury.”

I believe the decision to sign this kid was wisely made by our under-21 team and academy members. Since we have a good relationship with the under-21s coaches, we will keep an eye on him if he plays at that level.

Ryan Wintle playing more advanced…

We had a different system against Coventry, a 4-3-3. I wanted my No.8s, Rallsy and Wints to be more offensive and it was a great assist for him.

I said to him that what he showed me until now, he could give much more. He has that quality. Before he was playing safe passes from A to B, B to A. I wanted more passes in behind the defence, between the lines. He has to take more risks. If he makes a mistake, he makes a mistake, football is like this.

If you try, try, try, it will happen. So I am pushing him for this and other players for other things. We cannot always play safe football. We want to attack and sometimes you have to play with risk.

So now he is trying to do it and he is doing it well.

Can Karlan Grant operate as a striker?
No. Karlan Grant is a superb winger in my opinion. In my opinion, we can throw him behind the defense due to all of his abilities, pace, and counterattacking.

However, because the defenders are tight and hard, it will be challenging to get balls in the air to him. I believe it is preferable for him to score goals from the side, as he did against Coventry.
