Nia Long Files for Full Custody of Son Kez, Claims Ex Ime Udoka ‘Has Failed’ to Provide Support
Nia Long is taking ex-fiancé Ime Udoka to court.
On Monday (August 14), the 52-year-old You People actress filed for legal and physical custody of 11-year-old son Kez, claiming that 46-year-old NBA coach “has failed” to support their child.
In her filing, Nia requested that Ime have “reasonable visitation” that is “consistent with the child’s best interest,” according to documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
ET has also reported that Ime has not responded to the petition and that the judge has not yet made a decision to Nia‘s request.
The filing comes eight months after Nia and Ime ended their 13-year relationship in December 2022. The two had been engaged since 2015 and welcomed Kez in 2011.
The split came after Ime was suspended by the Boston Celtics last September for an alleged affair with a female subordinate within the team’s organization.
In February 2023, Ime parted ways with the Celtics and in April 2023, he was hired as head coach by the Houston Rockets.
Nia also slammed the Celtics for making Ime‘s alleged affair public.
