Daniel Levy says there’s one thing James Maddison must stop doing at Tottenham now

Daniel Levy has admitted that he’s jokingly told James Maddison to stop driving a ‘red car’ to the Tottenham Hotspur training ground.

Levy spoke at a fans’ forum last night and was quizzed on the deal to bring Maddison to Tottenham over the summer.

Maddison was snapped up for around £40 million from Leicester City and has made quite the impact under Ange Postecoglou so far.

The 26-year-old has netted twice and registered two assists in five Premier League appearances for Spurs.

Tottenham has had a great start thanks to his on-field performances, and they presently hold the second spot in the league standings.

Daniel Levy, the chairman of Spurs, has acknowledged spoken with Maddison regarding his choice of vehicle.

Levy was questioned about the acquisition of Maddison during a 90-minute fan forum last night, according to Football.London.

James needs to understand that he can’t arrive at the practice field in a red car, the Spurs chairman remarked. I’ve informed him. He’ll catch on.

Levy is obviously referring to Arsenal, who are rivals of Tottenham in North London and are known for wearing red.

While Maddison’s color preference at Spurs is debatable, his influence on the field is unquestionably not.

The England international has adapted quickly to life at Tottenham and is already establishing himself as one of the summer’s top recruits.

Harry Kane’s creative hole has been filled in part by him, and he adapted wonderfully to his new position as vice-captain.
