Hugo Bueno, a defender for Wolves, is currently going through a Feyenoord medical after the team defeated Celtic to sign him, sources have informed Football Insider. Although Celtic offered a loan to the Spain Under-21 international as well, the Eredivisie team emerged victorious.
After reaching an agreement with Wolves, the top Dutch players are currently finalizing the transfer, with Bueno completing the last details. The 21-year-old aggressive full-back spent most of the previous season playing left midfield for Wolves, a position that Wolves manager Gary O’Neil frequently used him in.
The defender will now have the chance to participate in the Champions League this season thanks to the move.
Bueno may be used as an attacking or defensive option, giving Feyenoord considerable versatility. Having played in 42 Premier League games, the Spaniard has a wealth of experience in England.
Last season, Bueno was a regular member of O’Neil’s squad, appearing in 25 games across all competitions and recording one goal.
Wolves are preparing to move to acquire Aaron Ramsdale, and O’Neil wants to strengthen his defense for the upcoming campaign.
