Following a terrible Game 2, Kristaps Porzingis of the Celtics makes this vow.

Kristaps Porzingis's status uncertain for Monday's IST quarterfinals

Kristaps Porzingis of the Boston Celtics is eager for Game 3 against the Miami Heat to arrive.

The Celtics struggled with Porzingis’ play during Wednesday night’s 111-101 loss to the Heat in Game 2 at TD Garden.

The 7-foot-2 big man shot just 1-for-9 for just six points, missing all four of his three-point tries. Despite having eight rebounds, four assists, three thefts, two blocks, and three steals, he finished the game a horrendous minus-32.

After Thursday’s Celtics practice at the Auerbach Center, Porzingis told reporters, “I didn’t have a good offensive game at all,” according to NBC Sports Boston.

Porzingis, who tallied 18 points in Game 1, is now looking to makeup for his horrendous showing. And after clearing his head, Porzingis promised that the Celtics would get a much better version of himself when he takes the floor for Game 3.

I almost like to get away from basketball a little bit. Just rest, Porzingis said. I always do my same routine. Nothing changes for me. Good game, bad game, I stay the same. We just looked at the things what we can do better. I looked at my possessions. I’ll make sure I’m better offensively 100%.

With the Heat tied at one point and Miami riding high with the next two games on home court, the Celtics could really use that from Porzingis in their best-of-seven first-round series.

The Celtics and Heat’s third game is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday from Kaseya Center.
