West Tigers rugby league star is charged with MURDER over long-running mystery of young man stabbed to death in broad daylight
The mother of a 29-year-old man who was bashed, stabbed and left for dead in a wealthy Sydney suburb is battling cancer and distraught over ‘her baby’.
Dejan ‘Danny’ Radulovic was beaten and knifed multiple times in the torso by two men at about 3.40pm on Saturday on on Donnelly Street in Balmain, in the city’s inner-west.
His killers fled the scene in a white Jeep, before dumping it and setting it alight on a residential street in nearby Five Dock. They are still on the run.
The young victim was raced to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and underwent emergency surgery, but doctors were unable to save his life.
Mr Radulovic was on parole for drug supply at the time, and police suspect the attack was a drug-related dispute.
A family friend told Daily Mail Australia that Mr Radulovic mother, Liliana Jovanovic, is heartbroken – ‘she’s suffering a lot,’ they said.
