After being struck by a roller coaster at an Ohio amusement park, a guy passed away.

Two days after being struck by the Banshee at King’s Island, Wilmington resident Arntanaro Nelson passed away at UC Medical Center on June 21, according to WKRC-TV in Cincinnati.

Nelson apparently tried to retrieve his missing keys by jumping two fences and entering a restricted area, as reported by WKRC. The TV station was informed by a park staffer that the train was probably traveling at roughly 70 mph when it struck him.

Following the incident, the Banshee was closed as police and park staff looked into it, according to WKRC.

Following Nelson’s injury, Kings Island issued a statement stating that it was primarily concerned for the visitor’s and his family’s well-being, but it gave no further details.

The Mason police preliminary report, according to WKRC, was substantially blacked and contained only Nelson’s name.

The Banshee, which can reach speeds of up to 68 miles per hour, is the longest steel-inverted roller coaster in the world, according to the park’s website. It also has a 150-foot curving drop and a 167-foot lift hill.
