The future of Hugo Ekitike doesn’t appear to be at Paris Saint-Germain. As the Sept. 1 summer transfer deadline approaches, the 21-year-old’s file is heating up with several clubs interested.
With Gonçalo Ramos and potentially Randal Kolo Muani, Ekitike will struggle for starting minutes. As a result, the ideal situation would be for him to head elsewhere to continue his development.
Le Parisien reports that Everton and AC Milan seem to be emerging as frontrunners, while West Ham United, Eintracht Frankfurt remain in the mix.
Everton and AC Milan have shown interest in signing French talent Ekitike, engaging in discussions with his entourage. Meanwhile, West Ham seems poised to take a different approach.
The English club appears inclined to make a loan offer to Ekitike, with an intriguing twist of a mandatory buy option attached. As for the Geman club, Frankfurt also contacted Ekitike’s agents on Monday to schedule a meeting.
L’Equipe has also revealed that West Ham and PSG have engaged in direct communication regarding Ekitike’s potential transfer. The Hammers are reportedly preparing a loan offer for Ekitike with an option to buy, valuing the possible transaction at around €35 million.
Nonetheless, while the former Stade de Reims star struggled in Paris, there’s a market for his services. It will be interesting to follow to see which club eventually lands the young player
