Graham Roberts wasn’t happy with Gary Lineker’s dig at Harry Kane not winning a trophy at Tottenham Hotspur after his transfer to Bayern Munich. 

Before Harry Kane could make his Bayern Munich debut in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig on Saturday evening, he had the chance to win a trophy, which in the end, ended with a 3-0 defeat.

 

 

 

But Gary Lineker initially digged at Tottenham regarding that, lack of trophies, on Twitter and how ‘He could win more trophies in one day than he has in more than a decade at Spurs.’

 

 

 

 

Of course, that hasn’t happened, but those comments still didn’t sit well with a Spurs legend.

There has been a lot of noise around how Kane has been goal-crazy at the London club, but it has resulted in him winning nothing and that’s a reason why he has gone.

Of course, it’s not his own doing, with managers, his own teammates and decisions by Daniel Levy all playing their part.

Will Kane return to the Premier League?

The 30-year-old has signed a four-year contract at the German giants, as he will be aiming to win the lot, including the European Cup in Bavaria.

But will he return to Premier League shores? Looking at the likes of Karim Benzema, Thiago Silva, Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kross and Lionel Messi, to name a few.

They were/or are still performing at a very top level post-34, so there is every chance Kane can return to the Premier League and break that Alan Shearer record.
