In Week 11, the Steelers are dealing with five injuries.
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers opened the week with X injuries, all of whom were players in the starting lineup.
Offensive lineman Issac Seumalo and cornerback Patrick Peterson were resting and did not practice.
Tight end Pat Freiermuth was limited, but did practice as he nears as return from his hamstring injury.
While Johnson is listed as ‘did not participate’, it was likely more of a veteran’s day off as he tries to return to full form. Johnson has missed a day of practice most weeks since returning from Injured Reserve but has never feared missing a game due to it. Instead, it’s more of a precaution as he continues to nurse the injury.
Fitzpatrick is “battling” to return to the field this week but he remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury. The All-Pro has missed the last two games and will likely miss his third this week against the Browns.
Neal left Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers and is hoping to return in time to play against the Browns. He told reporters earlier in the week that he’s hopeful for this week’s game, but isn’t sure how things will turn out.
His participation the last two days will determine if he’s available.
Adams missed last week’s game due to his ankle injury and could miss another week if he does not return to practice as a full participant. While the door isn’t shut for a return, his progression will be significant in getting back on the field.
Patrick Peterson and Cam Heyward did not practice with veteran’s days off. Heyward is also nursing the groin injury that he recently returned from.
