In a recent report, Football.London mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to seal a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer. It has been stated that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the English playmaker to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the end of this month.
Eze’s Decent Form In The English Capital Last Season
Eze enjoyed an impressive campaign at Selhurst Park recently as he managed to catch the eye with his performances in the final third. The 25-year-old registered ten goals and picked up four assists in 40 matches for the Eagles last season across all fronts.
The English sensation was a consistent performer in the opponent’s half based on his average of 1.9 shots, 1.5 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He even took care of the ball when distributing possession on the attacking end of the field after making 82.4% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the South London club will run out in the summer of 2025. Therefore, Spurs will have to make a sizable offer if they want to recruit Eze before the end of this transfer window.
Is Eze The Right Fit For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu?
Eze is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He can shoot the ball with power and accuracy from long range and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
The English talent is a great dribbler with the ball as well and can be a hard man to stop when he is running and full swing in and around the opponent’s penalty box.
We can expect Eze to add more firepower to Tottenham head coach Angelos Postecoglu’s frontline. He might even help Spurs challenge for a top-four place in the Premier League this season. Hence, Eze would be a good fit for the North London club‘s needs right now as he would no doubt inject more quality into their attack.
