Brandon Hunter played the game overseas for over ten years after stints with the Celtics and Magic.

Florida’s ORLANDO (AP) — After starring in college at Ohio University, Brandon Hunter played two seasons in the NBA. He has now passed away. He was 42.

Hunter’s 2004–2005 team, the Orlando Magic, as well as the university both released statements to confirm his passing. The Boston Celtics, who selected Hunter in the 2003 NBA Draft, were his team the previous year. After leaving the NBA, he played in another country.

According to Carolyn Cliett, the husband-to-be of Hunter, he passed away on Tuesday after fainting in Orlando while practicing hot yoga.

He frequently practiced hot yoga, she remarked. As far as we know, he was in terrific health. Just astonished, really.

The 6-foot-7 Hunter, a native of Cincinnati, was Ohio’s all-time top rebounder and a three-time first-team MAC selection.Brandon Hunter’s demise has left Ohio coach Jeff Boals and his team “deeply saddened,” according to a statement. “Brandon had a fantastic pro career after being a fantastic player at Ohio. He visited the Ohio University campus last year with his kid to attend his well-deserved induction into the athletics hall of fame. In addition to being a fantastic teammate and athlete, Brandon was also a fantastic family man.
