Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea believe that Nottingham Forest will sell Brennan Johnson despite their insistence on keeping him, according to the Evening Standard.

The 22-year-old attacker is the centre of attraction in the ongoing transfer window for several clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Brentford are all keen on landing the Nottingham Forest forward this summer.

However, the Tricky are insisting that Johnson is part of Steve Cooper’s plans for this season and is not for sale.

It has been claimed that Johnson’s suitors are convinced though that Nottingham Forest will sell the 22-year old in the ongoing window.

Last season, the Tricky Trees spent heavily in the transfer market and they could be tempted to sell Johnson to balance the books.

Tottenham have money in the bank after the sale of Harry Kane and Ange Postecoglou is interested in strengthening his forward line.

Losing Johnson would be a blow, but it is one his suitors feel Nottingham Forest are prepared to accept.
