Newcastle United now expressing interest in signing ‘huge talent’, amid rival PL interest
Newcastle United have monitored Pyramids FC winger Ibrahim Adel with a view to a transfer, but they will face plenty of competition for his signature.
The 22-year-old is highly rated in his native Egypt and could be set for a high-profile move to the Premier League. A versatile left-winger who can also play upfront, he has attracted interest from a number of sides across Europe, including Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.
According to a recent TEAMTALK report, Newcastle, Brighton, Aston Villa, West Ham, and Burnley are among the clubs interested in signing the Egyptian international after Rangers attempted but failed to do so during the summer transfer window.
Adel has already been associated with Liverpool, and teams in Russia are also trying to recruit him this month. However, if a deal falls through, Adel might become available in January.
Given that Newcastle signed Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes in the most recent two transfer windows, prospective star Links with a left-winger seem quite unexpected.
However, both alternatives can play on the right, which might free up a spot for Adel to join.
Adel was a “huge talent,” according to Pyramids FC director Mahmoud Fathallah, and he scored four goals in 26 games last season.
Although he is still developing, he might be a player to watch since he could have a bright future. However, given the level of interest in him, it would be surprising if Newcastle spent a lot of money to get him.
Newcastle currently has a solid group of wingers, so if they were to add another, it might need to be a significant improvement over Barnes, Gordon, or Miguel Almiron. Even though Adel may be a big talent, Eddie Howe doesn’t now need to hire any potential people for his position.
