Birmingham City is grieving together in remembrance of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, a Blues fan.
The Club has scheduled several tributes for Arthur, who tragically passed away at the age of six, when Blues play Cardiff City at St. Andrew’s on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
Plans call for the installation of a flag of remembering in the lower Kop for the match against the Bluebirds, as well as a minute of applause in the sixth minute of play and a message on the big screen above the field.
As a permanent remembrance to Arthur, the stadium will also have two memorial bricks embedded into it.
This weekend at The Den, Millwall supporters will join Blues supporters in pausing for a moment of appreciation in the sixth minute of the game. In honor of Arthur, blues players will also don warm-up tops.
The Club is still in shock at his passing and is looking into further avenues to help vulnerable kids.
Arthur, may you always have an angel by your side and rest in peace.
