Cowboys injury report: Dorance Armstrong joins Tyler Smith in not practicing
Here is the Dallas Cowboys injury report for Thursday. Dorance Armstrong misses practice with ankle issue.
The Dallas Cowboys control their playoff fate and could finish as NFC East Champions and secure the number two seed in the NFC with a win on the road against the Washington Commanders. Injuries always play a role, so let’s check the latest report, courtesy of Hogs Haven.
The Cowboys had several players absent from practice. Dorance Armstrong appears on the report as not participating due to an ankle injury, which was a downgrade from yesterday’s limited. He joins Malik Hooker and Tyler Smith as guys not practicing because of injury, although Hooker also has an illness.
The team has remained steadfast that Tyler Smith could play this week, but a second consecutive missed practice places Smith on the very questionable side of being available versus the Commanders.
Chuma Edoga and Chauncey Gholston were out, but because of illness which is going around the Cowboys locker room. Juanyeh Thomas missed his second straight practice because of illness. Zack Martin and Tyron Smith were given a veteran rest day.
Rico Dowdle is progressing in his return from an ankle injury. He practiced in full on Thursday. The team placed Deuce Vaughn on injured reserve Wednesday, which could indicate Dowdle’s status is trending in the right direction. Defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins was also limited and has a chance to play this week.
