Commanders vs Cowboys Thursday Injury Report: Benjamin St-Juste has first full practice since concussion

Commanders trust steadily improving St-Juste with toughest assignments

The Washington Commanders are coming off a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. They have one more game left in the season. Next up is a home game against the Dallas Cowboys. Ron Rivera named Sam Howell the starting QB yesterday. Jacoby Brissett was supposed to get his first start of the season last week but he suffered a hamstring injury last Thursday. He was limited in yesterday’s practice, but was a full participant for the first time since suffering the injury.

DT Jonathan Allen(knee) and CB Kendall Fuller(knee) both missed another day of practice. They usually receive vet rest days early in the week, but then show up for gameday. Fuller missed last week’s game against the 49ers, and he could get shut down for the season. Allen’s injury was reported before practice yesterday, and he looks like another veteran player that will miss the season finale.

CBs Tariq Castro-Fields(shoulder) and Christian Holmes(concussion) suffered injuries last week and missed another practice today. Holmes suffered a scary concussion where he collapsed right after a play. Initial reports said he was ok, but he remains in the concussion protocol. Benjamin St-Juste was in the concussion protocol last week, but returned to practice on a limited participation yesterday, and got in his first full practice today. Rookie DB Quan Martin(chest was also limited yesterday and full today.

RT Andrew Wylie(elbow) didn’t play on Sunday, but was a limited participant in practice again today. Trent Scott replaced him last week, and would likely get the start again in the season finale. DT John Ridgeway has been on the injury report for weeks with a foot injury, but continues to play on gamedays.

Three players showed up on the injury list yesterday, but were full participants in practice. Today, S Kam Curl(quad) and WR Curtis Samuel(hamstring) didn’t practice, while DE Casey Toohill(shoulder) was limited. There haven’t been any updates on their new injuries.
