Tyler Adams has thanked Leeds United, his teammates and supporters for the support he received during his short time at the club following his departure for Bournemouth. The United States international missed the Whites’ relegation run in last year and was unable to try and help keep them in the top flight.

The outgoing midfielder said: “Not an easy goodbye. The club, my teammates and the fans have supported me since day one and I wish I could have given more in the home stretch. Forever grateful for this past year.”

He told the Official Leeds United podcast: “I’ll be honest, I feel like there’s been interest from here for the last three or four seasons. It’s felt like from every window I could potentially come here.

“I’ve always kind of had it on the radar and had conversations with the agency that it’s one I’d like to do. It’s a massive club and like we said before, it’s similar to how Newcastle are fan wise, how passionate and intense the fans are about their club.”
