Many teams are hoping Alexander Isak was their striker after he scored 25 goals for Newcastle United in all competitions last season.
The Swede was initially being eyed by Arsenal, but the Gunners soon realized that he would be far too expensive for them.
While Arsenal has given up, another London club is still trying their luck.
Chelsea speak to Newcastle about signing Alexander Isak
The Daily Mail has stated that Chelsea has made contact with Newcastle in regards to acquiring Isak this summer. They also state that negotiations have gone place between the two teams, with the Blues expressing their want to bring the 24-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail further reports that Chelsea is aware that, in order to get Isak—who was recently predicted by Swedish and Celtic star Henrik Larsson to become a world-class player—they would need to shatter their transfer record.
