Fabrizio Romano believes Liverpool should renew their chase of Andre Trindade.
Italian writer Fabrizio Romano reported on the Here We Go podcast that Liverpool could sign Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 22-year-old is having a fantastic season for Brazilian giants Fluminense. Earlier this summer, he was on the Reds’ radar, but they were unable to strike an agreement with the Time de Guerreiros. Liverpool’s attempts were unsuccessful, but they have not given up on their pursuit of the player.
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt has now hinted at a January relocation. Bringing him in mid-season could provide the Reds a boost heading into the final stretch of the season.
On the show, Romano said that the Merseysiders are big fans of Andre and that the deal isn’t dead yet. The club must now make an offer that Fluminense cannot refuse.
“It’s not over yet. It’s still something we have to keep an eye on since Andre is very popular in Liverpool.”
He continues by saying that the Reds have solid links with Fluminense, which might help them in a January push. Liverpool have rarely signed players directly from South America, but Andre appears to be a player worth going all out for.
“They’ve had positive conversations with Fluminense; they have good relationships.”

Liverpool have already demonstrated that they are willing to pay whatever it takes to acquire special players. Andre appears to meet the criterion, according to Romano. Should the Samba ace adopt the legendary Red shirt, it may be an interesting addition.
Andre is 22 years old and has his prime years ahead of him. He will, however, fill a non-homegrown place on the Reds’ roster. It shouldn’t be a problem because he can take Adrian’s spot on the roster once the January window opens.
