Pedro Neto is a target for Tottenham Hotspur, but Keith Wyness believes he will stay at Wolves this summer.

In an exclusive interview with Football Insider, former Everton manager Keith Wyness predicted that Pedro Neto, a gifted 24-year-old winger, will remain at Wolverhampton Wanderers despite Tottenham and other elite Premier League teams showing interest.

A few days ago, journalist Paul O’Keefe disclosed that Tottenham has re-entered the competition for the Wolves winger, having earlier withdrew from consideration for him. Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Arsenal have all expressed interest, according to the aforementioned Football Insider story.

The Portuguese winger Neto has been a fixture at Molineux Stadium for a considerable amount of time. Neto has been improving gradually but steadily, and his most recent campaign served as a legitimate breakthrough, drawing interest from elite teams.

Before sustaining an injury, the 24-year-old, who is under contract with the English team until 2027 (Transfermarkt), participated in 24 games in all competitions, contributing 11 assists and three goals.

Neto is presently representing Portugal in the Euros, where his team will play France in the quarterfinals tonight. But Roberto Martinez hasn’t really relied on the Wolves player and has only occasionally used him thus far.

Regarding Neto’s circumstances, Keith Wyness expressed his opinion on whether the 24-year-old would depart from Wolves.

“I had a value of about £40million in mind, I think that’s about the right level. But I think he’ll end up staying this summer. That’s what would make the most sense for all parties. Wolves are a club operating at about the level I think Neto is at right now.”

It makes sense that Tottenham is interested in the gifted winger. They will cover for two slots on their squad sheet if they are able to sign Neto. He would be another signing for the team that was reminiscent of Brennan Johnson.
