‘HE’S LOCKED IN’: BRENNAN JOHNSON REACTS TO LEEDS UNITED 22-YEAR-OLD AHEAD OF NEW SEASON

Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson says on Instagram that Ethan Ampadu is ‘locked in’ at Leeds United ahead of the start of the 2023/24 Championship season.

It’s not where Leeds United want to be after spending over a decade struggling and suffering in England’s lower leagues, before the club’s now legendary figure Marcelo Bielsa ended all that pain and heartache.

ut, after the debacle of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, their current status is deserving and summer signing Ethan Ampadu is hoping to make his mark.

On Sunday, Daniel Farke’s side recorded a 1-0 win over Scottish Premiership side Hearts, with Ampadu adding more minutes to his tank.

And now the serious stuff begins on Sunday, with the Whites welcoming Cardiff City to Elland Road for their Championship opener.

Ahead of that game, Ampadu posted the following message to fans on Instagram, with his Wales teammate Brennan Johnson posting in the comments section: ‘He’s locked in’.

“Good end to the pre-season,” wrote Ampadu. “Ready to go next weekend.”

New era begins at Leeds United…

The 49ers themselves are locked in and hoping to impress a disgruntled, frustrated and dissatisfied Leeds fanbase that has seen some serious rubbish in recent times.

Burnley proved last season that regardless of how badly you fall, you can still get back up and earn promotion, and that in some serious style.

Vincent Kompany was handed with a lot of trust by the club’s American owners and he helped deliver the goods, the 49ers will be hoping Farke, who earned promotion on two occasions with Norwich City, can conjure up similar magic in Yorkshire
