The Sepang International Circuit welcomed a record-breaking 184,923 fans over the weekend, highlighting the growing popularity of MotoGP in Malaysia.
MotoGP Race Highlights
Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) put in a remarkable performance to keep his championship hopes alive by winning the Malaysian GP. The race began with Bagnaia and Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) locked in a fierce duel, with the two riders going side-by-side and nearly making contact right from the first turn. Their intense battle created one of the season’s most memorable moments, showcasing elite skill and competitiveness.
However, the race was temporarily halted due to a red flag when Jack Miller crashed at turn two. Medical teams promptly attended to him, and he was taken to the medical center as a precaution.
Once racing resumed, Bagnaia managed to hold off Martin in a tense cat-and-mouse chase to the finish, securing the win and reducing Martin’s championship lead to 24 points. This result keeps the title race alive heading into the final round. If Martin scores two more points than Bagnaia in the season’s last Tissot Sprint, he will secure the title.
