TreVonte, a citizen of the Miami Hurricanes, is cleared to play and might make his debut soon.
The running back in his second year has recovered completely from a knee injury sustained during fall camp in 2022.
With TreVonte’ Citizen in his second year as a running back, the Miami Hurricanes are exercising extreme caution. The former 4-Star recruit’s severe knee injury sustained during last year’s fall camp has prevented him from making his Miami debut.
“We want to make sure that when he does get in there that it’s because he has a chance to help us win games,” Cristobal stated. “Everyone’s really happy for him because what he went through was obviously a tough thing,” he continued, “but I can’t put a timeline on him as to when exactly he’s gonna get reps.”
Before his accident, the first time I met Citizen in person, I was taken aback by how physically mature he appeared for an incoming freshman. At 6-1 and 221 pounds, he traveled from Lake Charles, Louisiana to Miami in 2022. He has the potential to excel in college and beyond once he gets over his rust.
