Bills appoint Marcus West as defensive line coach and Al Holcomb as LB coach
Holcomb joined the Bills in 2023 as a senior defensive assistant. He spent three years on the Panthers’ staff before transferring to Buffalo, where he finished the 2022 season as temporary defensive coordinator. In 2018, he was also the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator, and he has previously coached for the Browns and Giants in the NFL.
West has been the Bills’ assistant defensive line coach for the last two seasons. His previous coaching expertise was on the collegiate level.
The Bills have filled a few open coaching positions.
On Friday, the team announced that Al Holcomb will coach the linebackers and Marcus West will coach the defensive line. Bobby Babich, former linebackers coach, was promoted to defensive coordinator earlier this week, while Eric Washington, previous defensive line coach, left to become the Bears’ coordinator.
