For certain Hologic WTA Tour stars, the offseason is full of wedding bells. Marta Kostyuk married in Cyprus at the start of November, and throughout the past week, Anastasia Potapova and Shelby Rogers have been heading down the aisle together.
Potapova married ATP pro Alexander Shevchenko on December 1st, while Rogers married former college hockey player John Slavik early in December.

Potapova married ATP pro Alexander Shevchenko on December 1st, while Rogers married former college hockey player John Slavik early in December.
Potapova announced her marriage on social media. She first shared a video on Instagram showing her getting ready for the legal side of the marriage, then on December 5th, she streamed the ceremony live on the platform.
Potapova and Shevchenko, one of three ATP-WTA couples to become engaged in the past 12 months, were the first to tie the knot to end an enthralling courtship. They both had career-best seasons on tour in 2023, joining Madison Keys and Bjorn Fratangelo, Denis Shapovalov and Mirjam Bjorklund in declaring “Yes!” this year.
Shevchenko began the year outside the Top 150 and finished at No. 48, while Potapova, at No. 21, dabbled in the Top 20 in June.
Potapova said to Tennis.com during Roland Garros, “It’s really helpful to have someone who can support you, not just on your team, but someone you’re close to. He’s someone who not only knows tennis but also wants what is best for you. Even if I play like s—, he’s going to support me, so that’s very nice to have someone like this on the tour. He understands.”
