Report claims Sunderland are showing interest in Finnish u-21 international
According to reports from Finland, Sunderland is interested in HJK Helinski winger Topi Keskinen.MTV Uutiset claims that both Sunderland and Middlesbrough have communicated with the 21-year-old’s camp as they consider a move for the Finnish u-21 international.
Although HJK has not yet received a suitable offer, they have turned down two bids: one from Aberdeen that nearly made him the Scottish club’s record signing, and another from Blackburn Rovers that was slightly less than €1 million.In the Veikkausliiga, Finland’s top league, Keskinen has made 16 appearances thus far this season, tallying six goals and dishing out two assists.
He also played in this season’s Champions League qualification campaign, losing to Panevezys of Lithuania, which eliminated HJK.
