Kristaps Porzingis exults at his fresh start with the Celtics.
It appears that Kristaps Porzingis is overjoyed to be playing with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics now that he is in the city.
Center Kristaps Porzingis required a fresh start. Last season, he was forced to play for a failing Washington Wizards team that had great expectations but was more focused on rebuilding than winning. Nevertheless, he received the change he sought this offseason when he was dealt to the Boston Celtics in a massive three-team deal.
Porzingis is currently relishing his new beginning in Boston. The 2018 All-Star told the media on Monday during Media Day that he is pleased to be in Boston and that his initial impressions of the city are positive.
So far, I’m quite content here, Porzingis remarked. “I adore the community and organization; everyone has been really welcoming. I’m looking forward to the season.
The Latvian center is also relieved to be healthy again after suffering from injuries for the majority of his playing career. He was distraught when a foot problem forced him to miss the FIBA World Cup just this summer.
He acknowledged, “It hurt my soul not to play for Latvia. But I’m confident that it was the right choice.
Thankfully, Kristaps Porzingis is feeling better after taking some time off and is expected to attend training camp. Even at Media Day, he allayed any concerns about an injury by declaring that he was fine to play.
