GOOD NEWS: Everything seen at Arsenal training ahead of Everton as Saka fears grow

Jesus warning, Saka concern – Three things spotted in Arsenal training ahead of Everton

Arsenal news – Mikel Arteta has been working with his players on the training fields in preparation for a tough Premier League match against Everton.

Mikel Arteta will have welcomed all of his Arsenal stars back to London Colney in the previous few days as they prepare to face Everton in the Premier League. The Gunners entered the international break on a high after defeating Manchester United 3-1, and they will definitely be looking to maintain that momentum this weekend and stop an unwelcome six-year drought.

Last season, the Toffees ended Arsenal’s 13-game unbeaten run at Goodison Park in Sean Dyche’s first game in command. That setback added a year to Arsenal’s previous victory on Merseyside in 2017, but Arteta will be looking to rectify that on Sunday.

Following the two-week domestic break, both parties have provided favorable injury updates, with Arteta stating that Bukayo Saka is fit and Gabriel Jesus is also available. Meanwhile, Dyche was on hand to update fans on six players, including Jack Harrison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Having said that, the Arsenal players will have been working hard in training in preparation for the game, and among the newest wave of images being released, football.london has compiled a list of all the major moments from London Colney.

Gabriel Jesus, who missed the first few weeks of the season due to a minor knee operation, could make his first start of the season on Sunday. After coming off the bench to score against Manchester United, the 26-year-old was called up to the Brazil squad to replace Antony.Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus to miss start of season after minor knee surgery | Arsenal | The Guardian

With more complete training sessions under his belt, Jesus appears to be fighting fit and ready to return to the goals on a consistent basis, and he certainly appeared to be practicing that in training. Three photographs were released on Arsenal’s website, with the first showing Jesus staring up at the ball, the second shortly after his connection, and the third showing him celebrating on the floor, which Arsenal fans will expect to see this weekend.

Bukayo Saka’s availability due to a minor knock was a significant issue heading into the weekend, but Mikel Arteta has since verified he is able to play. However, one training photograph may have caused anxiety among Arsenal fans.

Saka is one of the Gunners’ smaller, lighter players, so seeing Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes jump onto his back for a training photo would understandably make some fans nervous about an injury. Saka too appeared to be struggling under the weight of his two hefty teammates.

Relationship between Rice and Gabriel

Declan Rice clearly had a friendship with Gabriel Magalhaes in the early days of his Arsenal career.

Following their rise onto Saka, the two have been photographed taunting one other in training once more. Their chemistry could be vital when it comes to playing together, as an extended run in the team for Rice in the holding midfield role and Gabriel in defense appears possible due to Thomas Partey’s injury.
