Fremantle Welcomes Dana East for Pride Clash Against
Fremantle has revealed their squad for the Week 7 AFLW Pride clash, with midfielder Dana East making her much-anticipated return. East’s inclusion marks the only change to the team set to face Carlton at Fremantle Oval this Saturday afternoon. After missing the past two games due to concussion protocols, she will come off the interchange bench, replacing Mikayla Morrison, who has been listed as an emergency.
Fremantle’s Senior Coach, Lisa Webb, addressed the media, praising the return of East and emphasizing the impact her presence has on the team’s midfield. According to Webb, East brings a unique ability to be first at the contest, complementing the inside midfielders with her energy and drive. “We’ve certainly missed her contributions over the past couple of weeks,” Webb remarked, highlighting the value East adds to the overall team dynamic.
As the team continues to adjust to the absence of key forward Áine Tighe, Webb also discussed how Fremantle is experimenting with its forward structure. One of the possible options includes Gabby O’Sullivan, who has shown versatility by being effective both in the midfield and forward line. However, East’s return provides the team with additional flexibility
