For €34 million, Chelsea signs a teenage Brazilian player.

On Saturday, CHELSEA announced that they had reached an agreement to acquire young forward Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, reportedly for an upfront payment of £29 million (€34 million).

Prior to the 2025–2026 season, Estevao—who has represented Brazil at the youth level—will play with fellow countrymen Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, and Angelo Gabriel at Stamford Bridge.

According to a statement on the Blues’ website, “Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign teenage forward Estevao Willian from Palmeiras. The Brazilian will officially join Chelsea next summer.”

“With his deft dribbling and lightning-fast pace, the 17-year-old has already cemented himself as one of the most exciting talents in South America, causing defenses plenty of problems during his breakthrough senior football season.”

For his current club, Estevao has made ten appearances in Brazil’s top division, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He has also scored in the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.
