Everton update emerges on quest to sign Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto post Youssef Chermiti

Everton could soon speak with Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto as the deal is down to negotiating a price, according to Tuttomercato Web.

The Italian media outlet claimed on Friday (4 August) that the final £1.73million is what is stopping the Toffees from signing the 19-year-old.

A £19million bid has already been made by Everton for the Italy international but Leeds some to be holding out for slightly more.

According to Record, Youssef Chermiti will not be with his Sporting teammates as they take on Everton in a pre-season friendly on Saturday (5 August).

He’s expected to seal a move to Goodison Park and by the looks of it, they want Gnonto to follow him through the door.

Having done two signings and not paid for any of them, with one being a free transfer and the other a loan deal, Everton now look to be loosening the purse strings this summer.

a

Sean Dyche has wanted a striker and if Gnonto arrives, he will be getting two players who can potentially lead the line for them.

It remains to be seen whether or not they’re willing to pay over the top to sign the Italian if the Chermiti deal gets over the line.

Hopefully, in the coming days, there is clarity over these deals as the new season is not too far away.
