The Toffees are eager to earn a fee from Gomes‘ departure, though they would apparently be willing to let him leave on loan – despite his contract expiring next summer.
The midfielder is said to be raking in a whopping £120,000-a-week on Merseyside so it comes as no surprise that the club are desperate to shift him from their books.
The report claims that Gomes has received interest from Saudi Arabia, while he has also held talks with clubs in Greece, Russia and Qatar.
The Saudi transfer window is set to close on Thursday, while clubs in Greece, Russia and Qatar can still compete for Gomes’ signature beyond this week.
Sean Dyche clearly doesn’t fancy the 30-year-old in his first-team plans, however his potential exit would leave them very light in the middle of the park. Alex Iwobi’s move to Fulham may mean Gomes has to stick around to make up the numbers.
