ESPN’s Extra Time show were asked who Chelsea should sign if they can’t sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton – which looks increasingly likely.
Between them they were barely able to come up with a single decent suggestion, which illustrates the pickle we’re in perfectly. If there was a player with a similar skillset at a lower price… we would have bought them already.
Brighton know this, and this is precisely why they’re asking so much for their Ecuador international. There are certainly some gems out there, but we will have to do the scouting ourselves if we want to find them.
