The head coach of the Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum, has revealed eighteen players for the 2024 Olympic women’s football team.
The talents that will represent Nigeria at the competition scheduled for later this month are Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Chiamaka Nnadozie, according to the list provided by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday.
Osinachi Ohale, Deborah Abiodun, Michelle Alozie, and Halimatu Ayinde are a few more well-known names on the list.
On the list of alternate players are two players who play at home: Jumoke Alani of Nasarawa Amazon and Morufa Ademola of Rivers Angels. Ifeoma Onumonu and Gift Monday are also listed.
On Thursday, the squad will leave Abuja for a two-week training camp in Sevilla, Spain. On July 18, the players are expected to depart for France.
For the first time in sixteen years, Falcons will compete in the Olympics.
Group C matches the team against Brazil on July 25, Spain three days later, and Japan in the group’s last match on July 31.
