Chelsea is interested in recruiting teenage Tottenham Hotspur prospect Mikey Moore this summer, according to the Daily Mirror. But the latter club, which thinks the young player has the potential to be a future star, will do all in its power to cling onto him.
Who is Mikey Moore?
At Tottenham Hotspur Academy, one of the most gifted adolescents is Mikey Moore. Many in the management saw him as a future star. Boss Ange Postecoglou intends to use him in the upcoming season as he keeps making an impression on everyone.
Moore mostly plays for the U18 team of Tottenham Hotspur. He scored 16 goals in as many games the previous season, which was amazing. In the process, he also made nine assists. He did, however, only get to play for the senior team in two Premer League contests.
The English football player is renowned for his offensive variety. He is a capable left winger who likes to cut in to create opportunities by using his pace. He can finish plays as a striker or even as a number ten, leading the play for the team.
Tottenham Hotspur will try to hold Mikey Moore
Since the new owners came over, Chelsea has been bringing in some of the greatest players, and they intend to develop the young players and give them chances to perform at the highest level.
Hence, the Blues seek to entice away Mikey Moore from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. They understand the talent and the traits the athlete possesses. They even got in touch with Moore’s team to talk about the potential transfer move because of this.
Spurs will make every effort to keep the 16-year-old with the team, though. They promise him a better position in the future season, even though they are unable to sign him to a professional deal before he turns eighteen. The child reportedly wants to remain at his present club, but things can change at any time.
